A good presentation is never about the presenter; it is about the audience.
For example, if you are talking to an audience of sales people you should think, what can I tell them that will help them make more sales? That is what they are judged by, that is what they are interested in. They will only enjoy a presentation on your widget/idea if they clearly understand how it will help them become the top sales person in their field.
An audience will love your presentation if you give them information that they feel is relevant. Conversely they will hate it if they think it is about you, demonstrating your knowledge, with little consideration to them.
